Trump’s tweets don’t make top 10 for 2017 — but Obama’s do.

None of President Trump’s tweets from 2017 made Twitter’s top-10 list of the most retweeted — nor did any of them crack the top three tweets with the most likes, the site announced Tuesday. To make matters worse for the commander-in-tweet, his predecessor Barack Obama sent three of the top 10 most retweeted posts of...

World Tech News: Trump’s tweets don’t make top 10 for 2017 — but Obama’s do. NY Post 24 - US News

To make matters worse for the commander-in-tweet, his predecessor Barack Obama sent three of the top 10 most retweeted posts of this year.

Obama – who has 97.6 million followers to Trump’s 44.1 million – also was responsible for two out of the top three most liked tweets.

His most retweeted post, No. 2 overall, came Aug. 12, the day of a deadly white supremacist rally in Charlottesville, Va.

“No one is born hating another person because of the color of his skin or his background or his religion,” Obama wrote, quoting Nelson Mandela and sharing a photo of himself with babies of different races.

The post — which also was the most liked — has been retweeted more than 1.7 million times and liked more than 4.5 million times.

On the same day, Trump said that “many sides” were to blame for the display of “of hatred, bigotry and violence.”

The second tweet by Obama that made the list, at No. 5, includes one sent out on Jan. 10 in which he urged people to “believe—not in my ability to create change, but in yours.”

And the third was from Jan. 20 — when Trump was inaugurated.

“It’s been the honor of my life to serve you. You made me a better leader and a better man,” Obama said in a tweet that ranked eighth of the top 10 most retweeted.

It's been the honor of my life to serve you. You made me a better leader and a better man.

Obama’s tweet in support of Arizona Sen. John McCain after he announced he had brain cancer was the third most liked tweet of 2017.

John McCain is an American hero & one of the bravest fighters I've ever known. Cancer doesn't know what it's up against. Give it hell, John.

A Nevada high school student who persuaded Wendy’s to give him a year of free chicken nuggets if his post was retweeted 18 million times was responsible for the post with the most retweets – 3.6 million.

Carter Wilkerson fell short of the bar set by the fast-food chain, but Wendy’s gave Wilkerson the nuggets anyway for the effort.

NBA superstar LeBron James sent the seventh-most retweeted post in which he called Trump a “bum” after he decided to rescind Stephen Curry’s invitation to the White House to celebrate the Golden State Warrior’s NBA championship.

“Going to White House was a great honor until you showed up,” James tweeted.

U bum @StephenCurry30 already said he ain't going! So therefore ain't no invite. Going to White House was a great honor until you showed up!

— LeBron James (@KingJames) September 23, 2017

Trump has made Twitter his favorite soapbox, often spewing predawn attacks at his political opponents and the media, whose reports he routinely labels “fake news.”

While he didn’t make the most retweeted or liked lists, he has bragging rights as the most tweeted-about elected world leader.

He also came in No. 1 for top tweeted US elected officials, with Vice President Mike Pence, Speaker of the House Paul Ryan and Obama taking second, third and fourth, respectivley.

Trump’s messages of #MAGA, #TrumpTrain and #BoycottNFL also are among the top activism hashtags of the year, according to Twitter.

But he was dealt a further blow with the No. 1 hashtag — #Resist.

On social media, some people mocked the winning-obsessed Trump for getting “beat at his own game.”
