“This morning on @TheView, @stormydaniels and I will release the composite sketch of the thug who threatened my client and her little girl in Las Vegas,” Avenatti wrote on Twitter. “This is a search for the truth.”
Daniels, who alleges she had an affair with Trump after meeting him at a celebrity golf tournament in 2006, said she was approached by an unidentified man who told her to “leave Trump alone.”
Daniels, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford, said the incident happened in a California parking lot in 2011.
“And a guy walked up on me and said to me, ‘Leave Trump alone. Forget the story,’” she said during an interview on CBS’ “60 Minutes” last month. “And then he leaned around and looked at my daughter and said, ‘That’s a beautiful little girl. It’d be a shame if something happened to her mom.’ And then he was gone.”
Avenatti earlier this month said Daniels was working with a sketch artist to come up with an image of the man.
Daniels and Avenatti have been in a legal battle with Trump’s personal lawyer, Michael Cohen, over a nondisclosure agreement she signed before the 2016 election and for which she received a $130,000 payment from Cohen.
They contend the agreement isn’t valid because Trump never signed the legal papers.
The FBI raided Cohen’s office, home and hotel room last week seeking information and documents about that payment.
