US Living News: Where to celebrate the Royal Wedding in NYC. NY Post 24 - US News
Thursday, May 17

3 p.m. “Downton Abbey” — The Exhibition Anne Chertoff, royals expert at Beaumont Etiquette consultants, will be discussing the trends and fashions of royal weddings. 218 W. 57th St., 866-811-4111; DowntonExhibition.com. Free with admission ($30 adults, $15 children, $28 seniors).

Friday, May 18

Ink48 Live like royalty, if only for the night — and only if you have the income of a royal. This Kimpton hotel’s royal wedding package offers a night in a two-story penthouse suite with an unobstructed, panoramic skyline and Hudson River views.

If the 2,200-square-foot terrace and one bedroom with separate dining room and sitting area isn’t enough, you can avail yourself of the three-hour chauffeured Rolls-Royce and commemorative wedding merchandise.

The concierge will give you a shout at 7 a.m. for scones and tea at your own wedding watching party. They’ll even supply an assortment of royal-inspired hats, tiaras, fascinators and, yay, a British flag. $7,000. 653 11th Ave.; 212-757-0088, Ink48.com

Gansevoort Meatpacking The “Get Royal” package at this swanky hotel features a complimentary Markletini or Prince Cup cocktail in the lobby or rooftop bar. Spend the night, and you’ll wake up to breakfast in bed with a “full English” — eggs, bacon, sausage, ham, Heinz beans, fried bread, potato, broiled tomato, toast and jam. Wash that down with some limited-edition Royal Wedding Tea from Harney & Sons and don your complimentary Harry and Meghan commemorative T-shirt before referring to their guide to a British weekend in NYC. Price is room rate (starts at $505) plus $100. 18 Ninth Ave.; 212-206-6700, GansevoortHotelGroup.com.

Sat., May 19

The Chester, 7 a.m. The classic American eatery inside the Gansevoort Meatpacking hotel is hosting a watching party that also features a full English breakfast, royal wedding tea from Harney & Sons and some English Strongbow cider. Markletini and Prince Cup cocktails ($9) will be served. Wedding attire is encouraged, and crowns are available for wannabe royals. $29. 18 Ninth Ave.; 212-206-6700, GansevoortHotelGroup.com.

The Shakespeare at the William Hotel, 6 a.m. Watch the guests’ arrival while enjoying a welcome mimosa (rather, a Bucks Fizz, as it’s known in the UK) and a traditional British or American breakfast. Toast the festivities with a glass of Chapel Down English sparkling wine (reportedly being served at the royal reception) and a slice of wedding cake. Large screen TVs will display the festivities. $70. 24 E. 39th St.; 646-837-6779, TheShakespeareNYC.com

The Churchill Tavern, 6:30 a.m. Watch the festivities in the English-style drawing room. At 1 p.m., Josh Donaghay-Spire and the team from Chapel Down Winery in Kent county will be on hand to talk about and raise a toast with their English sparkling wine. For those who can’t bear the early doors, there will be a midafternoon replay viewing party with Chapel Down wine served. A prize will be awarded for the best hat. Free. 45 E. 28th St.; 646-476-8419, TheChurchillNY.com

The Plaza Rachel Zane, Markle’s character on “Suits,” dreamed of getting married at the Plaza. So naturally the venue is celebrating the actress’s real-life big day. As well as royal wedding afternoon teas ($150) throughout May, they’ll host a viewing party with a sumptuous breakfast augmented by Champagne, mimosas and a Bellini bar. There’s also a contest for the best fascinator. Reservations required. 768 Fifth Ave.; 212-759-3000, ThePlazaNY.com

Lillie’s Victorian Establishment, 10 a.m. Lillie Langtry was a English actress with a colorful life who in 1877 began a not-so-discreet affair with the Prince of Wales, later King Edward VII and Harry’s great-great-grandfather. So, fittingly, the ornate gastropub named after her will be celebrating with a watching party at its Times Square location, featuring special cocktails, menu items and desserts (including the ubiquitous lemon elderflower cake, $11). Free cocktail to anyone dressed for the occasion. Pose for a selfie with life-size cutouts of the bride and groom. 249 W. 49th St.; 212-957-4530, LilliesNYC.com

Dog & Bone Aside from showing all the action on TV, plus replays throughout the day, fans of British food should head here for good grub including a Traditional ’99: soft-serve vanilla ice-cream in a cone topped with a Cadbury Flake chocolate bar and optional raspberry drizzle. In keeping with the pub’s name, canine patrons in wedding attire will be welcome. Free. 162 E. 25th St.; 212-889-1570, DogAndBoneNY.com

Black Tap’s Royal Wedding Cake milkshake.Black Tap

British International School of New York Enjoy tea and scones at this watching party, which is followed by music and festivities including pony petting, cupcake decorating and maypole dancing. The event rounds out with a slice of royal-inspired wedding cake. Royal attire is encouraged (but not compulsory). Free. BISNY Dining Hall, 15 Waterside Plaza. RSVP required at RoyalWeddingWatchParty.SplashThat.com

Vulture Festival, 7 a.m. Vulture.com’s two-day East Coast celebration of entertainment and the arts falls this weekend, and “Who? Weekly” podcasters Lindsey Weber and Bobby Finger will be on hand to watch and comment live on the arrival of the hats and the celebrities wearing them. They are promising special guests and “at least one British person” to help identify minor royals. Complimentary British treats will be served. $20. Freehold, 45 South Third St.; Williamsburg, VultureFestival.com

Tea & Sympathy, 9:30 a.m.

If watching the nuptials has you longing for some wedding fare, head to the Village to pick up a lemon elderflower cake with buttercream icing based on the one being served at the official do. $45. 108 Greenwich Ave.; 212-807-8329, TeaAndSympathy.com

Black Tap, 11 a.m. All three of Black Tap’s New York restaurants will be offering the indulgent Royal Wedding shake to wash down their “craft” burgers. The vanilla shake features a vanilla and sugar-frosted rim topped with a two-tiered, lemon elderflower, mini-wedding cake. Quite the work of art, it’s made in collaboration with Magnolia Bakery. Get there early, quantities are limited. $19. 529 Broome St.; 917-639-3089, 177 Ludlow St., 646-813-1013; 136 W. 55th St., 212-315-4356; BlackTapNYC.com
